KY State Hoop Shoot Finals
Contest was held Saturday, 2/11/2012, in Frankfort.
The following were crowned State Champions:
Girls 8-9 Chloe Lynn Madisonville #738 24/25
Boys 8-9 Stephen Verst Newport #273 23/25
Girls 10-11 Meredith Beaven Henderson #206 16/25
Boys 10-11 Rod Thomas Paducah #217 22/25
Girls 12-13 Makayla Campbell Madisonville #738 21/25

From here in two weeks, 3/10/2012, we will be traveling with the Kentucky contingent to Paris, TN for the Central Region Hoop Shoot. There the Kentucky State Champions will face shooters from Tennessee, Arkansas, and Missouri.
The Elks National Hoop Shoot finals will be April 28, 2012 in Springfield, MA.
The West Kentucky District Hoop Shoot was held on Saturday January 21, 2012 at 10AM Local time at Jesse Stuart Elementary School in Madisonville, KY. Located on 1710 Anton Road Madisonville, KY 42431, 270-825-6033

Elks Hoop Shoot program encourages all local lodges to hold a free throw contest.
From that point the winners will go to the district finals, state finals, regionals and if lucky enough to the Nationals at the Basket Ball Hall Of Fame.

In 1970 the “Hoop Shoot” became an Oregon Elks State program, and in 1972 it was introduced nationwide. In 1976 GER George B. Klein dedicated the Elks Hoop Shoot Plaque at the Basketball Hall of Fame.
