KY Elks Show Up Big at the National Convention in St. Louis

The St. Louis National Convention is behind us, and the Kentucky Elks had a great time! First we installed our two new District Deputies: Linda Caldwell in the East District and Ken Hooper in the West District. We also had Past State President Jim Mirick perform as the Grand Lodge Vocalist, and KY First Vice-President Johnny Jones donned his uniform and carried the Navy flag during opening ceremonies. Finally, the Honor Guard from Louisville Elks Lodge #8 presented the colors at the Opening Ceremonies.

State President Charlie Martin not only carried the state flag, but he got a chance to pick up his favorite cup after losing it during a business session.

It was a great convention, a great chance to see old friends, and of course, make new ones. We’ll see all our friends next year in Baltimore!
