Louisville Elks Lodge Color Guard to Present Colors at 2018 Wreaths Across America

posted in: Local Lodge News | 0

The Louisville Elks Lodge’s Color Guard is certainly well-traveled. In 2015, they presented the colors at the Elks National Convention in Indianapolis, IN. They’ve been a part of our state conventions and other Elks events, and now they’ll be a part of this year’s Wreaths Across America event.

The event is being held at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery in Louisville, located at 4701 Old Brownsboro Road on Saturday, December 15 at 11:45 AM. The Color guard will be posting the colors and laying a flag on the grave of President Zachary Taylor. A member of the Louisville Lodge will be posting the Elks Flag as well. All Elks are invited to place wreaths on the headstones of veterans in the cemetery. You can see a video of last year’s event above.

If you’d like to attend the event, you can find a flyer to download below. If you’d like to make a donation to provide a wreath, you can find a brochure with a form to complete below as well. Please be sure to use this form, as it contains a code that will ensure your wreath is sent to the proper location.
