The Marshall County Elks Lodge #2707 hosted a poker run on May 19th, 2018 to benefit a service dog for a Veteran through the This Able Veteran organization. The first-time event was well-supported, with 66 poker run players on motorcycles and vehicles. Over 20 Marshall County members volunteered their time, hard work and dedication to help make this event such a huge success.
The day ended with music, food and an auction that helped raise $5,005 for this amazing organization that does so much to help our Veterans. Another highlight of the day was a visit and demonstration from a service dog in training. Marshall County Lodge plans to do its part by donating to this fine organization again.
