Ashland Elks Lodge #350 is the largest lodge in Kentucky, and it serves a large number of kids as well. Recently, the members of that lodge held their annual dictionary distribution, handing out dictionaries to third graders not only in Boyd County, where the lodge is located, but in nearby Greenup, Lawrence, and Carter Counties as well.

All told, the lodge distributed approximately 1,178 dictionaries. These will be used in schools as part of dictionary instruction, and each child will get to keep their dictionary for use in the future.

Pictured above are just a few of the kids in Greenup County Schools with their brand new dictionaries.
